aravah

ערבה – aravah – trees in the genus Salix, known in English as the willow. These tough, water-loving trees have been used in many ancient cultures for medicinal and agricultural purposes. It is one of the Four Species of plants used in building the sukkaalong with date palm (לולב, lulav), myrtle (הדס hadas) and citron (etrog אֶתְרוֹג).
