Moses Schreiber, called ChaTaM, Chiddushei Torat Moshe Sofer, after his most famous work. 18th-19th century German rabbi and head of the Yeshiva at Bratislava. Though he was one of the leading Orthodox Rabbis of the 19th century in Eastern Europe, he published little during his lifetime. Posthumously, his work as a scholar and a poet was recognized, with many of his chiddushim still forming the basis of European Orthodox thought.
