Rav Yehezkel Landau

Yehezkel ben Yehuda Landau, 1713-1793. Polish rabbi and halakhic scholar, author of the Noda Biyhudahנודע ביהודה, by which name he was also known. He was the Rabbi at Prague from 1755 until his death. His commentary on the Talmud, the Tziyyun Le-Nefesh ayya, named for his mother, Chaya, is considered a masterwork of commentary.
