יִצְחָק בן שלמה לוּרְיָא אשכנזי – Rabbi Isaac ben Solomon Luria Ashkenazi, abbreviated to Ar”i or even HaARI “the Lion”. 16th century mystic and teacher in Egypt and Safed. Considered a father of kabbala and modern Jewish mysticism, he was famed throughout Europe for his teachings on exile and the “Tree of Life”.
