Para Aduma

פרה אדומה – the red heifer or red cow to be brought as a priestly sacrifice, the ashes of which were used in purifying those who had become tameh met. According to Bamidbar 19:2, there should be brought a heifer of red coloring “without spot, without blemish, upon which there was never a yoke”.
