Rabbi Yehuda ben Betera

tanna of great renown before the fall of the Temple, though certain attributions are not clearly in his name. His name, ben Betera, refers to the patronymic associated with the Children of Betera (Bathyra), who were likely brothers during the reign of Herod I. Yehuda ben Betera is often confused with Joshua ben Betera, who is possibly a younger relative.
