Shilo’ah

בריכת השילוח – Waters of Shilo’ah. A pool in the City of David (the ancient site of Jerusalem), whose waters “go softly”, are named in Yesheyahu 8:6 and 22:9. The pool is fed by the Gihon Spring and is accessed through its famed underground tunnels, built by King Hezekiah in the 8th century BCE.
