Yitzhak

יִצְחָק – Isaac, “He Laughs”. One of the “forefathers” of the Jewish people, he was the only son of Abraham (Avraham Avinu) and Sara. When God tested Abraham, he famously ordered him to sacrifice his son Isaac; God stayed Abraham’s hand at the last moment. In later life, Isaac fathered Jacob and Esau.
